FREKZ reached out on TikTok after seeing the Layzee custom and mentioned wanting to step into apparel. With no prior references or existing visuals to build from, we spent about a week working from absolute zero — a ton of iteration, but worth it.
The final design breaks into five core elements:
1) FREKZ TEXT — The biggest branding opportunity. This became the primary logo moving forward. 2) MUSIC TEXT — Built to match the FREKZ logo but with its own subtle character.
3) MICROPHONE-ON-FIRE IMAGE — Started as burnt-out 50s-style mics and overheated components. Ended up becoming a charming and textured visual blend.
4) HOODED BRAWLER IMAGE — This one took time. So many characters almost worked. The final version had to reflect FREKZ’s real energy — someone who fights for themselves and what they love. 5) CASSETTE TAPE IMAGE — Pure chaos at first. I couldn’t stop tweaking it. Oddly enough, it worked in every position and every composition we tried. Back-and-forth can get messy, but this one never felt like work. The collaboration clicked, and we walked away with more than just a single T-shirt concept — we accidentally built a small universe.
We’ve also taken the time to get FREKZ’s online store set up with this design and several others created through AloneTees. Launching soon.
