Reconstruction · Defence · Continued becoming

DUCH8

An armed culture built to protect what failed armies could not—and to honour every form a life may become.

Widespread by necessity

Armed to fill the gaps

A DUCH8 gold-and-black fighter in deep space

DUCH8 have bases across many worlds, but Oti-Zahruhl holds their highest population.

They are a warring faction in the literal sense: they carry weapons, establish defensive positions and intervene where violence has already broken the promise of protection. Yet their central purpose is peace-enforcement, not conquest.

DUCH8 took up arms where established armies could not defend their own people. They entered the gaps—places abandoned by institutions, borders and forces that claimed authority without providing safety.

This does not make their presence simple. Protection creates power. Power attracts politics. A faction prepared for war must continually prove that readiness has not become appetite.

They do not restore a life
to what it was.
They honour what continues.

Sacred reconstruction

To remain unfinished

Three DUCH8 people whose reconstructed bodies preserve different histories

To DUCH8, an original body is not automatically the truest body. Organic tissue, adaptive armour, engineered nerves, mechanical limbs, memory structures and living materials may all become part of one continuing person.

There is no standard DUCH8 form. Every reconstruction is shaped by survival, history, purpose and the meaning assigned to what has been lost.

A visible joint can become autobiography. A reinforced frame can carry a bloodline. A missing section may remain deliberately uncovered.

They do not worship machinery. They honour continued becoming.
